An in-depth showcase of the research and projects developed over the past three years as a master's student and researcher.
This journey focuses on implementing the Internet-of-Drones (IOD) concept to create a platform that connects multiple UAVs to the Internet. The platform features a dedicated web-oriented communication protocol, enabling seamless integration of UAVs from DJI drones to custom-built models. It includes an implementation for DJI UAVs using the DJI SDK V4 and a video server that supports video streaming, recording, transcoding, and content delivery. Additionally, it incorporates a computer vision solution that leverages thermal and RGB cameras for enhanced analysis. A reinforcement learning module is also integrated to facilitate cooperative area mapping with a dynamic fleet of UAVs.
